Their seat is wide while in combination with the comfortable cushions on both the seat and the back they offer rest and comfort. The three-seater sofa in a similar design is, however, the most impressive piece of this set with its large dimensions that make it the reference point. The cushions throughout the set are covered with quality fabric in GREY color and are filled with medium hardness foam materials for maximum comfort. CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL:
The whole set is made of aluminum. Aluminum is a metal with excellent mechanical properties and has introduced a revolution in many technological fields. Although much lighter than other metals, it has very high mechanical strength, which is why it is so widely used in various fields. In addition, it is very resistant to various forms of corrosion and requires minimal maintenance costs. Aluminum is also the third most common element present in the earth’s crust. It is a “green” material that can be recycled indefinitely, maintaining its characteristics without any quality degradation. Indeed, the energy required for its recycling is only 5% of that consumed in its initial production. It is therefore no surprise that in Europe 85% of aluminum used in construction comes from recycling. Aluminum has a unique and unrivaled combination of properties, meaning it is a highly versatile, highly usable, and attractive material.
Corrosion resistance
Aluminum naturally forms a thin oxide layer on the surface in contact with air, which provides very good corrosion protection, even in corrosive environments.
The tabletop and the surfaces on the armchairs are made of exotic IROKO wood. IROKO wood, medium in weight, has good mechanical properties, moderate hardness, high durability, and moisture resistance. Its color, particularly attractive, is golden-light brown with sharp light-colored lines (graining). However due to its increased photosensitivity it gradually darkens to a richer brown over time. IROKO is a type of tree of tropical – central and western – Africa, which belongs to the broad-leaved species and can live up to 500 years and reaches a height of 30-40 meters.
MAINTENANCE:
The ideal for maintaining aluminum is to use a very soft cloth or sponge, plenty of water and a mild cleaning product, such as dishwashing detergent. Aluminum furniture does not have special maintenance requirements since it does not corrode.
Soap and water are enough to keep them clean and shiny.
IROKO is an extremely durable wood and does not require regular maintenance with oils or varnish when used outdoors. For this reason, a dusting and a wipe with a damp cloth will make the whole set look like new.
